'Reason for Hope'

Reintroduction of the Northern  Bald Ibis in Europe


zooschweiz is the association of the scientific zoos in Switzerland. The zoos of Basel, Goldau, Gossau, Kerzers, Langenberg and Zürich are members of zooschweiz. Their financial support of the LIFE+ project is part of the active contribution for the conservation of biodiversity on our planet. 


Verein für Tier- und Naturschutz in Österreich

Already since 2003 the association for the protection of animals and nature in Austria supports the Waldrappteam. The reintroduction of the Northern Bald Ibis is considered as a very important project and is therefore further supported in context of the LIFE+ project. 


Ministerium für ein lebenswertes Österreich

The Austrian Federal Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry, Environment and Water Management supports a modern approach to conservation, aiming to uphold the biologic diversity for future generations. This happens by protecting natural resources and the value of nature itself. In this context, the ministry supports the project "Reason for Hope". 


HIT Umwelt- und Naturschutzstiftung

In 2003 the HIT foundation for the conservation of environment and nature was founded by the Family Dohle. Since then they support selected organizations who considerably contribute to the preservation of biodiversity. Therefore, they also support the LIFE+ project "Reason for Hope". 


Grovni Stiftung

The Grovni Foundation´s aim is the conservation and promotion of genetic diversity within fauna and flora. Their efforts are dedicated especially to critically endangered european wild animals, farm animals and crops. Amongst others, also the LIFE+ project therefore gets financial support. 


Bund Naturschutz in Bayern e.V. - Kreisgruppe Altötting

The local group Altötting of Bund Naturschutz in Bayern e.V. already supports the LIFE+ project since 2002, both financially and by providing voluteers. This support is to be continued and intensified in context of the "Reason for Hope" project.
